Terms & Conditions

By booking, entering and/or using Sydney Sports Club venue or facilities, entrants agree to abide by the following conditions:

  • By continuing to use/access our website www.sydneysportsclub.com.au and our booking system, you agree that you enter into a legally binding contract with us upon the Terms and conditions.

  • If you do not agree with these Terms and conditions or any changes to our policies, any subsequent changes to our booking system, you must cease the use/access of our website and booking system.

  • Entrants acknowledge that they will be exposed to certain risks when using the facilities, including but not limited to physical injury and death. All entrants enter Sydney Sports Club at their own risk.

  • Sydney Sports Club will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by any person entering Sydney Sports Club (including liability for any injury, loss or damage caused by the negligence of Sydney Sports Club (SSC) or its employees or agents). To the extent permitted by law, entrants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless SSC and its employees, representatives and agents from and against any and all losses, liabilities, expenses, claims, demands, suits and damages whatsoever and howsoever arising resulting from or in connection with an entrant’s use of Sydney Sports Club facilities.

  • Entrants authorise SSC to obtain medical assistance, treatment and transport as deemed reasonably necessary by SSC and acknowledge that they will be responsible for any costs associated with any such medical treatment and/or transportation.

  • Entrants must behave appropriately and follow the lawful directions of SSC at all times. Derogative comments, abusive language and inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • If an entrant causes any damage to Sydney Sports Club property or facilities, they must make good the damage or will be charged the appropriate charges to fix the damage.

  • SSC reserves the right to refuse entry to any person or remove any person from Sydney Sports Club.

  • Entrants are responsible for their own property at all times. SSC does not accept any responsibility for any property that is stolen, lost or damaged in the Sydney Sports Club facilities (including the amenities).

  • Sydney Sports Club reserves the right to inspect personal belongings  on entry and exit, and to refuse entry or remove guests for offensive behaviour, stealing, damage/vandalism, failure to properly supervise persons under their care, failure to follow safety instructions or failure to comply with any condition of entry.

  • Entrants must use the Access Pin-pad to check in with Sydney Sports Club in order to gain access to the Sydney Sports Club courts and facilities.

  • Entrants must book and pay for the use of the courts prior to using the courts. Sydney Sports Club Members are responsible for the payment of their guests’ fees. Entrants must strictly adhere to the allocated time slot and correct court number of their booking, to avoid being charged an any additional court hire fee. Additional court time can be booked and purchased online anytime through Sydney Sports Club website sydneysportsclub.com.au.

  • Only authorised Sydney Sports Club coaches are permitted to provide badminton coaching or lessons at Sydney Sports Club. No person other than authorised Sydney Sports Club coaches may use coaching baskets or other coaching equipment on court. Entrants must not receive any badminton coaching or lessons at Sydney Sports Club except from an authorised Sydney Sports Club coach.

  • Entrants must wear appropriate attire (always including shirts and non-marking footwear on courts).  Sydney Sports Club reserves the right to prevent the use of the facility for an entrant not abiding by the attire rules.

  • The use of cameras and other photographic or recording equipment (including mobile phones) at Sydney Sports Club is not permitted without prior written consent.

  • Smoking and Alcohol consumption is not permitted in any areas of Sydney Sports Club.

  • By continuing to use/access our website www.sydneysportsclub.com.au and our booking system, you agree that you enter into a legally binding contract with us upon the Terms and conditions.


  • We respect your privacy. We only collect and store information which is necessary for the functioning of this Website and the Online Services. We may use this information for research and marketing purposes. By providing us with your personal information, you consent to the above use of your personal information by us.

  • We may contact you via the platform for the Services, using in-Account notifications or via-off platform communication channels, such as text messages or email with functional notifications.

  • We may also send marketing and promotional material which may be of interest to you, using your contact details. You may opt out of receiving direct marketing messages at any time. Where you opt-out we will continue to send you functional communications relevant to your use of the Services.

Security cameras:

  • Security cameras operate within Sydney Sports Club centre/venue/facilities.  Entrants acknowledge that they may be filmed.

Booking system:

  • Our booking system accessible through our website www.sydneysportsclub.com.au is to be used for booking time slots of our facilities.  An acknowledgement email will be sent to you via email.

  • After a booking an acknowledgement email will have the access pin to enter our facilities.  The court lights will only turn on if the access code is entered at the entry door of the premises. Customers acknowledge that they need to use the access code to enter the premises in order for the lights to be turned on. The lights will remain on only for the duration of the booking. The access code will be valid 10 minutes prior to the time slot booked and allow a early check-in.  The booked court lights will be turned on accordingly and will remain active for a maximum of 10 minutes after the end of the timeslot. 

  • Customers acknowledge that they will use the facilities only within the timeframe of the booked timeslots and make their way to the exit after the end of the timeslots.

  • If for any unforeseen circumstances if Sydney Sports Club encounters technical issues, the entry to the premises may be delayed or begin later than the original start time. Customers acknowledge that they can seek help with the given contact numbers in case of any such issues.

  • All prices listed in our booking system are subject to change without notice. All prices listed are in AUD and include GST.

User accounts and communication:

  • The customers are expected to provide the correct contact details and email address of the individual using our facilities. This is required for us to communicate the acknowledgement of the booking and access code.

  • All communications including acknowledgements with access codes will be sent from the email address: [email protected].

  • Any wrong/misleading information provided or non-compliance with the terms and conditions will lead to suspension of the user account and prevent you from accessing our booking system. We may also report any unlawful behaviour to the law enforcement authority as deemed necessary.

Court booking credits

  • Court booking credits can be added to your customer user account and when required can used for future bookings.

  • You can add credit on our booking website by using a credit card or Mastercard / Visa debit.

  • Once a credit is added as per the tier a bonus value is added which can be used for bookings. The balance will be reduced by the prevailing hourly rates of each booking.  If the booking amount exceeds the available credit, then a top-up will be required to complete your bookings.

  • All prepaid credit has validity dates with a minimum of 45 days from the date of purchase. All credit balance should be used within the expiry date and will be reset at the date of expiration and no refund will be provided.  Customers will have to ensure there is sufficient balance while court booking for the correct recharge amounts.

Cancellation policy:

  • Cancellations must be communicated to Sydney Sports club 48 hours prior to the commencement of the bookings. Customers who fail to cancel online via booking website are ineligible for credit refund.

  • A recurring booking can be re-scheduled within 48 hours, however no refund will be offered.

  • Refunds on Court booking credit top-ups:  Any refund request will be reviewed on case-to-case basis.  The bonus credits are not refundable nor transferrable and Sydney Sports club reserves the right to deduct bonus credits from the final customer refund based on prevailing court booking rates.  The final refund amount will be based on the prevailing court booking rates and charged pro-rata on the court booking fees (without considering any bonus credits on the top-up value). A processing fees of 50$ will be charged for any such refunds if approved.

Social session credits

  • Social session cancellations must be communicated to Sydney Sports club 48 hours prior to the commencement of the session. Customers who fail to cancel social session online via booking website are ineligible for credit refund.

  • A recurring social booking can be re-scheduled within 48 hours; however no refund will be offered.

  • Any refund request will be reviewed on a case-to-case basis. It will be calculated after deducting the session costs based on prevailing social session rates and no discount will be offered on the refund calculations.

Booking System:

The court hire is only limited to court hire and does not include badminton rackets or shuttles. You can rent rackets at a cost of $5 per racket.
